Coaster Racer 2 Walkthrough

Coaster Racer 2 is the sequel to 2010's Coaster Racer. Like its predecessor, it is a first-person 3D racing game. LongAnimals does not disappoint with this sequel. The charm of the original game is present, but this game is so much better than the original! The controls are smoother, the graphics are crisper, and a slew of new features have been added, including the choice of driving a bike instead of a car during races!

Coaster Racer 2 might seem difficult to begin with, but after a few races, you'll get the hang of it. Purchasing upgrades will also improve the speed and handling of your vehicle. I would advise using the bike when you can rather than the car, since the bike seems to naturally have superior handling and its view is less-obstructed, allowing the payer to see the track and to react easier.

Coaster Racer 2 features three modes for each track: Challenge A, Race, and Challenge B. The player must drive the car for Challenge A and the motorcycle for Challenge B, but the player may use the vehicle of their choice in the Race. In order to advance to the next track, the race must be completed in the qualifying position or better, but the challenges can be beaten for extra upgrade cash, or to add more fun to the game. If you upgrade your vehicle, the races may become easy, but the challenges are there to provide replay value to each track.

During the race, you will want to collect rotating dollar symbols to increase your upgrade money. There are three nitro bars that can be used to provide a massive nitro boost when full. Pressing the nitro key will activate the speed boost to rocket you past the competition. In order to charge these boosts faster, you can put your hands in the air, but be careful, since you won't be able to steer while doing so. You'll want to find a balance between charging your nitro and steering, since losing control at a critical moment can have you plunging off of the side of the track, which would defeat the purpose of gaining the nitro boost.

Fans of racing games will have a blast with Coaster Racer 2!
